How do I configure check-in and weather minimums?

These settings decide what a flight has to clear before it can dispatch. They drive the Pre-Flight Check-In modal — see [[scheduling-check-in-a-flight]].

Require check-in

  • enable_check_in — when on, a booking must be checked in before it can go. This is also what makes Hobbs/Tach start and end required.
  • check_in_window_minutes_before / check_in_window_minutes_after — how early and how late check-in is allowed relative to the start time.

What the pre-flight gate forces

  • require_squawk_review — forces the Squawk sheet reviewed checkbox.
  • require_weather_check — forces a weather Go/No-Go decision (GO / NO-GO) off the METAR.
  • require_pre_flight_checklist — forces your custom checklist items.

Each one you turn on adds a section that must pass before Confirm Check-In unlocks.

Student weather minimums

For student flights you can set hard and soft weather floors:

Setting Meaning
student_min_ceiling_feet Soft floor — warn below this ceiling
student_block_ceiling_feet Hard floor — block below this ceiling
student_min_visibility_sm Soft floor — warn below this visibility (SM)
student_block_visibility_sm Hard floor — block below this visibility (SM)
student_weather_block_mode warn (advise) or block (stop check-in)
