How do I check out a flight and record Hobbs and Tach?

Check-out closes the flight and records the end-of-flight readings the system needs to compute flight time and feed invoicing. The modal is titled Check Out: Record end-of-flight readings before completing this booking.

Steps

  1. On the Dispatch Board, find the flight under In Flight or Checked In and click Check Out.
  2. Enter the readings:
    • HOBBS END
    • TACH END
    • FUEL ADDED (GAL)
    • POST-FLIGHT NOTES (optional)
  3. Click Submit Check-Out.

The booking moves to Completed. Flight time is computed from the Hobbs/Tach start (captured at check-in — see [[scheduling-check-in-a-flight]]) and the end readings you entered here. Hobbs and Tach stay separate fields; they are never merged.

All four fields are recorded only if you fill them — an empty reading is simply left blank rather than blocking the check-out. Enter the Hobbs and Tach end so flight time and rental billing reconcile correctly.
