Why did a Dispatch Assistant booking fail?

Symptom: After clicking Book or Book Selected, one or more suggestion rows show a red Failed marker, and a toast reports <n> booking(s) failed. or Booking failed.

Cause

The Dispatch Assistant books each confirmed suggestion against the live scheduling system. A suggestion is a snapshot from when the command ran, so by the time you book it the slot may no longer be free, or the slot details may be rejected. The page maps the underlying error into one of these messages:

  • That slot is no longer available. Try a different time. — the slot was taken, double-booked, or otherwise conflicts.
  • Couldn't book this slot. Please try again or pick a different time. — the slot details were invalid or required fields were missing.
  • Couldn't book this slot. Please try again. — a generic failure.

Fix

  1. Re-send your command to get a fresh set of suggestions, then book again.
  2. If a specific time keeps failing, pick a different time or aircraft/instructor.
  3. Successful rows in the same batch stay booked — only the Failed rows need another attempt. A Booked row shows a View link to confirm the booking landed.
