How do I use Smart Schedule to suggest a booking slot?

Smart Schedule lives inside the New Booking wizard. On the Date & Time step it offers Smart Suggest, which finds aircraft and instructor combinations for the selected date and pre-fills the form when you pick one. It suggests; you still complete and confirm the booking.

The panel only appears when the AI module is enabled.

Steps

  1. Open Scheduling → New Booking and advance to the Date & Time step.
  2. Find the Smart Schedule panel. It reads AI picks the best aircraft + instructor combinations for the selected date.
  3. Optional: set Preferred Aircraft (default Any aircraft) and Preferred Instructor (default Any instructor).
  4. Click Smart Suggest. While it runs, the button reads Finding slots....
  5. Under Suggestions, each result shows a start–end time and, when available, the aircraft and instructor with a short reason.
  6. Click a suggestion to apply it. Smart Schedule fills the date, start/end time, aircraft (matched to the scheduling resource), and instructor, then advances the wizard so you can finish and book.

Notes

  • Applying a suggestion fills the form — it does not create the booking. Complete the wizard and confirm.
  • The duration comes from the start/end time already in the form; if none is set it defaults to 1.5 hours.
