How do I schedule flights with the Dispatch Assistant?

The Dispatch Assistant turns a plain-language request into one or more suggested bookings. It does not book anything on its own — each suggestion is held until you confirm it.

The page header reads AI Dispatch Assistant with the line Schedule flights using natural language commands. Access requires the bookings:create permission and the AI module.

Steps

  1. Open AI → Dispatch Assistant.
  2. In the field placeholder Type a scheduling command…, enter your request (at least 5 characters). To start fast, click one of the Try an example chips, such as Schedule 3 discovery flights tomorrow afternoon or Book a 2-hour dual lesson for Wednesday morning.
  3. Click Send. While it runs, the page shows Analyzing flight conditions… ~5s.
  4. Read the AI Interpretation block — this is how the assistant understood your command. The Suggested Bookings list follows, each row showing the date, time, instructor, aircraft, training type, and (when present) a Risk · <level> badge and a short reason.
  5. Each suggestion has a checkbox, selected by default. Uncheck any you do not want.
  6. Book the slots you confirm:
    • Click Book on a single row, or
    • Click Book Selected (<n>) to book every checked row at once.
  7. A booked row shows a green Booked marker with a View link to the booking. A failed row shows a red Failed marker — see [[ai-dispatch-booking-failed]].

Notes

  • The assistant is a suggestion engine. The suggestions are not reservations until you click Book.
  • Toasts confirm the result: Booking created., <n> bookings created., or <n> booking(s) failed.
