What do the booking statuses mean?

A booking moves through these statuses. You can filter the bookings list by any of them.

Status Label Meaning
requested Requested Submitted, waiting on approval
pending_approval Pending Approval Held for instructor or admin sign-off
confirmed Confirmed Approved and on the schedule
checked_in Checked In Pre-flight done, not yet airborne
in_progress In Progress Checked out and flying
completed Completed Closed out with end readings
cancelled Cancelled Called off
no_show No Show Nobody showed for the slot
late_cancel Late Cancel Cancelled too close to start time

How a booking moves

A booking lands in Requested / Pending Approval only when approval is required ([[scheduling-booking-windows-and-approval]]); otherwise it starts at Confirmed. Check-in moves it to Checked In, check-out to Completed. No Show and Late Cancel are separate outcomes from a plain Cancelled — see [[scheduling-mark-a-no-show]] and [[scheduling-cancel-a-booking]].
