How do I enable or disable modules?
Modules are the add-on surfaces (scheduling, maintenance, training, invoicing, and so on) for a company. Toggle them on the Modules tab of the Settings page. You need the billing:manage permission.
The Modules tab is both a feature switch and how you change your paid plan: enabling a module adds it to your subscription, and disabling one removes it. There is no separate plan-change screen — your plan is whatever set of modules is on here. See [[subscription-plans-and-modules]].
- Go to
/dashboard/companies/<companyId>/settings and open the Modules tab.
- The page is headed
Modules, with the note Turn modules on or off for this workspace. Changes are prorated against the current billing period.
- Each module is a row with its name, description, price, and a toggle on the right.
- Click the toggle to switch a module on or off. Its accessible label reads
Enable <module> or Disable <module> depending on the current state.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears (see below).
Confirmation
Toggling opens a confirm dialog:
- Enabling shows
Enable <module> with Adds this module to your subscription. and a Confirm enable button.
- Disabling shows
Disable <module> with Removes this module from your subscription. and a Confirm disable button.
- On a paid plan, enabling adds the module's monthly (or yearly) price and the first prorated charge fires immediately; disabling credits the unused portion on your next bill.
- On a free trial, the dialog notes no billing changes apply until the trial ends.
Enabling the Invoicing module is different: it opens an addendum acceptance modal instead of the generic confirm, because you must accept the invoicing addendum in the same step.
Notes
- Required modules render as a locked, on toggle with a lock icon and cannot be disabled — the tooltip reads
Required — cannot be disabled.
- After a successful toggle, the change applies immediately; navigation and the sidebar reflect the new module state without a hard reload.
- Some enabled modules show a
Configure → link to their own settings panel.
- For what the counters and pricing on this page mean, see [[account-modules-reference]]. For billing details, see [[subscription-overview]].
