How do I create a recurring booking series?

A recurring series books the same slot every week so you don't re-enter a standing lesson by hand. Manage them at Scheduling → Recurring (Recurring Bookings).

Steps

  1. Open Recurring and click Add Recurring.
  2. Fill in the series:
    • Student and Location
    • Booking Type and Resource
    • Instructor (optional)
    • Day of Week — pick the weekday it repeats on
    • Start time / End time
    • Series start date, and an optional Series end date (leave empty for open-ended)
    • Auto-confirm bookings — when on, generated bookings are created already Confirmed instead of pending
  3. Save the series. HangarOS generates bookings forward by the number of weeks set in recurring_generation_weeks_ahead (default 4).

Generating more ahead

Each series has a Generate Instances action that fills bookings forward. After it runs you'll see a message like Generated 4 booking instances. — or Created 4 bookings, skipped 1. See reasons below. when a week conflicts.
