How do I set or change my base location?

The base location is the company's primary airport. Manage it from the Base Location block on the Settings Company tab. You need the company:manage permission.

Add a base location

If no base is set, the block shows No base location set.

1. Go to /dashboard/companies/<companyId>/settings and open the Company tab.
2. In Base Location, click Add Location.
3. In the Add Location dialog, enter the airport Airport Code (ICAO) (for example KJFK). The field accepts up to four characters and uppercases them.
4. Click Add. The location appears in the list with its resolved airport name.

Edit a base location

1. In the Base Location list, click the edit (pencil) icon on the location row.
2. In the Edit Location dialog you can change the Regulatory framework between FAA (Federal Aviation Administration, US) and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), and adjust the Airport Code (ICAO).
3. Click Save.

The current framework is shown as a small FAA or EASA badge next to the Base Location heading.

Remove a base location

1. Click the delete (trash) icon on the location row.
2. The Delete location? dialog explains This will remove the base location from your company. You can add a new one later.
3. Click Delete to confirm.

Notes

• If a code does not resolve, the dialog shows the server error or Failed to save location. Please check the airport code.
• Operating locations used for scheduling are managed separately — see [[scheduling-add-an-operating-location]].
