How do I delete a company?

How do I delete a company?

Deleting a company is permanent and removes all of its data. The control is in the Danger zone on the Settings Company tab and requires the company:manage permission.

  1. Go to /dashboard/companies/<companyId>/settings and open the Company tab.
  2. Scroll to Danger zone. The warning notes that deletion is permanent and that you will be redirected to your dashboard afterward.
  3. Click Delete company.
  4. In the Confirm deletion dialog, type the company's exact name into the field to enable the confirm button.
  5. Click Confirm delete. When it succeeds you are redirected to /dashboard.

If deletion fails, the dialog shows the server error or Network error.

Notes

  • The confirm button stays disabled until the text you type matches the company name exactly.
  • This removes a single company workspace. To delete your whole user account, see [[account-delete-account]].
